Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to share some important news regarding the leadership of Ormiston Meridian Academy.
Mrs Stanyer has accepted the position of Interim Executive Principal from Monday 2nd November on a 1-year temporary basis. In this new position, Mrs Stanyer will provide strategic leadership and oversight across both Ormiston Meridian Academy and Ormiston Horizon Academy, supporting the continued development and success of both schools. While Mrs Stanyer will continue to maintain a strong presence within our academy, her responsibilities will now extend across both schools to ensure that best practice, high standards, and opportunities for improvement are shared effectively.
As part of this transition, I am pleased to announce that Mr Darlington, who currently serves as Vice Principal, will take on the role of Head of School at Ormiston Meridian Academy. Mr Darlington is already well known to our students, families, and staff. He has played a significant role in the academy’s successes and brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and commitment to the role. His appointment ensures continuity for our school and enables us to build further on the strong foundations that have been established.
Together, the Interim Executive Principal and Head of School will continue to work closely to ensure that every student receives the highest quality education, experiences excellent pastoral care, and is supported to achieve their full potential.
