Expedition Training – Practice Walk 2

On Saturday 23rd April our Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Bronze students took part in their second practice walk around the Roaches area in Staffordshire. Prior to the walk students had already planned the route and completed their own group route cards.

As we arrived early on the Saturday morning, wrapped up warm,  the sun was shining and everyone was ready to go. The four groups started out from two separate locations and were tasked with navigating themselves to the end point. Throughout the day the students demonstrated excellent map skills and an awareness of the Countryside Code. They worked well as teams and managed to complete the course.
