Paris Trip 2019

During the week commencing 24th June, OMA took a group of 28 athletically talented Year 8, 9 and 10 students to Paris on an overseas football tour. This amazing experience allowed students to play competitive fixtures against local clubs from Paris.

The students played in fantastic spirit throughout the trip, demonstrating their excellent sportsmanship as well as their knowledge and understanding of the game. It was a privilege to see how the students interacted and learnt from the different players they watched and played against.

The girls played some fantastic football, with one highlight being the performance of Millie Stevens and Kelsey Cole, they showed amazing resilience in temperatures about 39 degrees Celsius.

The boys also showed mazing resilience in the excessive heat in Paris, they clearly struggled with the heat as Mr Tidy needed to make around 30 substitutions during the game.

Alongside the football, students were able to have some down time around the hotel and had the amazing pleasure of an all you can eat buffet on the final night alongside this, the students were congratulated with a presentation evening where numerous students won different prizes including brand new football shirts.

Amazingly, it didn’t stop there; the students had the opportunity to be coached by PSG professional coaches.

Finally, a football tour would not be complete without the students visiting different football stadiums and touring the grounds. The students has the amazing opportunity to see the Stade Der France in all its glory.

This was an amazing trip that the students thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated.
