“On Friday 21st September students from years 10 & 11 visited the NEC in Birmingham for EGX, the UK’s largest gaming exhibition. Students studying Computer Science and Creative iMedia had the opportunity to try out some of the most eagerly anticipated titles for PS4, Xbox and PC as well as experiencing first-hand the world of E-Sports as players from around the world took part in live tournaments.
As well as the latest releases there was access to cutting edge technology and talks from industry leaders in how to make a career in the gaming industry, along with opportunities to speak to universities about courses they offer and the many different aspects that continue to make gaming the growing industry it is today.
Finally students got the chance to see the very best of UK cosplay and there was even the opportunity for students to take a step back in time and try out some of the more ‘retro’ gaming platforms from years gone by. Overall a fantastic trip and an experience many will not forget.
See you next year EGX!”
