On Thursday 15th February we were delighted to invite 350 Y5 primary school children from our local schools to an anti-bullying and wellbeing performance delivered by singer Asher Knight and his group.
The performance encouraged students to think about the different kinds of bullying and the effects it can have on people, as well as looking at how we can work together to tackle the issue of bullying in schools. The message was delivered through stories of his own personal experience as well as performances of songs with a key anti-bullying and uplifting message.
The students seemed to be having a great time and enjoyed dancing and singing along with the performers as well as offering their own thoughts and opinions about bullying.
A huge thank you to all the staff and students at Belgrave, Sandon, The Crescent, Meir Heath and Parkhall for making the morning a great success.
